Jessie Carriere Counselling
About Me.
I provide compassionate, trauma-informed, professional support for individuals navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and parenting concerns. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can work toward mental wellness and personal growth.
Education and Experience
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology (with distinction) from Yorkville University, along with a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (Honours) from the University of Victoria. In addition to my academic background, I have completed training in the Gottman Method for couples counselling and pursued further study in supporting clients with anxiety. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent nearly a decade as a teacher, where I supported students, parents, and colleagues through a wide range of challenges. This experience has given me a deep understanding of learning, development, and the complexities of human relationships. It also shaped my ability to create a safe, supportive space where people feel heard and understood. As a counsellor, I draw on my background in education to help clients build resilience, develop strategies for growth, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
